Thanksgiving and Special News!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I know it's a little late, but we had a wonderful time at my brother Spencer's in North Carolina with my other brother Joel and his family. All the cousins had so much fun playing together. We need to do get togethers like this more often, too bad the cousins are 7 hrs away.
It was kind of a crazy few days, squirrels in the attic (or so we think), the killing of some squirrels (talk to Spencer or Jeremy), Grace knocking her tooth on a step (hope it doesn't die), and of course the usual sickies (sorry Lindsay and fam).
Grace was choosing to be very grumpy and didn't want to be in any pictures on this fun hike, it was cold!

Isn't Tessa soooo cute! We all died at her sweet smile! I'm glad she's feeling better now.
Cute family picture with all those raggamuffins!

Tyler is now officially a Daddy's boy!

Do I look pregnant, well, cause I am! Yeah, we're soo excited! We are due May 20th or so and I have my ultrasound in a few weeks to find out the sex, so we'll let you know! Grace thinks this is pretty exciting and wants to have a sister.

I wish I had gotten a picture before we all went crazy, but as you can see quite the feast! Thanks Sara for having us you're fabulous!

Aren't my ragamuffins cute? Tyler is now in this funny smile while taking pictures, it makes us laugh!

Fall Festivities!

We had such a whirlwind of a Halloween week, by the time Halloween came I was done! School parties, church parties, the kids had a blast of a week! Check out my mummy hotdogs! They turned out great! We always love going to a pumpkin patch and get great pictures. This time there were too many people to try to get a great single picture, oh well! Our horse and chicken stole the show on Halloween! They were pretty darling. We dressed up as farmers with our animals. Trick-or-treating with a wagon was the way to go!

Summer Fun!

The beach trip to Charleston has to be one of the highlights of the summer so far! The entire Henriod family under one roof, crazy! We loved every minute of it.

Grace has already had her first kiss!

This is what happens when you try to take down a huge tree in your backyard without professionsal help!

Happy Birthday to Grace in April! This is the cake I made for her princess party!

Aunt Abby and Grace in Charleston at our beach trip!

Magnolias!

Feeding the ducks at the park!

Grace has so many boyfriends! Sterling is one of her best friends!

Camping at crab tree falls and hiking the next day!

Strawberry picking! This is to be one of our new favorite things in Charlottesville, picking fresh fruit!

There has been too much that has gone on since last we posted! Life goes by so fast that I just have to let some things go, and this blog has been the thing to go! Here's to summer!

Mary Louise Bailey Harman

Mary, Jeremy's Mom, passed away after an eight year battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma on April 17th, 2008. Her funeral was on Sunday. Jeremy dedicated the Grave. We miss her very much, but are comforted to know that she no longer feels the pain that has been constant for the last couple of years. We draw comfort to know that she is freed from illness and participates in a great work across the veil teaching her family the gospel. Her smile and encouraging words will be greatly missed. We have an important responsibility to teach Grace and Tyler about how wonderful their grandma Harman is and to teach them the things that we have learned from her. She had the ability to love others despite their circumstance without judgment. She could find the little ways to serve others that made a lasting tremendous impact. Since Mary's illness, we have pondered the important role of a parent in passing down the important truths of the gospel, and life in general, that we have learned from our parents. We hope that we can teach Grace and Tyler the gospel truths that Mary centered her life around.

About a year ago, mom was out shopping and found a framed quotation that she truly loved because it mirrored her exact views on her illness. The quotation is...

Cancer is so limited ... It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away at peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
It cannot kill friendship,
It cannot shut out memories,
It cannot invade the soul,
It cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the spirit,
It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.

We find comfort knowing that Mom is in the presence of our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. We know that through the power of the Atonement we will be able to be with her again as an eternal family unit. We feel so blessed for the restored gospel and for the temple blessings that we enjoy.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers, calls, cards, and flowers. We feel so blessed to have such a great family and network of fantastic friends!

The House is on Fire!

What a fun time we had going to the firehouse in Charlottesville for a tour. This is Grace, in pink, stopping, dropping, and right now, rolling! Sparky, the dog, was so fun for the kids!
"I don't know what to do with all these buttons and levers, but I'll figure it out!"
We are living in a "World class city"
Grace looks so small next to the truck! It was really big!
I just had to put this in because of what it looks like Grace is doing!

Happy Easter!

Take a look at our Easter bunnies! We went and had an Easter egg hunt, the Easter bunny was there! Grace thought that was pretty cool! Tyler did alright finding eggs and putting them in his basket. Here he's just taking a break!

Look at what fun we had! I couldn't resist the bunny ears Grace is wearing!

Grace looks pretty in her new Easter dress, thanks to Nana!

This was actually St. Patty's Day, thus the green! For FHE we dyed eggs! Who would've thought Easter would be so early? I love that Tyler is perfectly waving to the camera!

Grace loved dying eggs. She liked putting them in the yellow the best. Too bad she doesn't like eating them. I'm the only one that likes eating egg salad sandwiches afterward.

Tyler got a few little balls in his Easter basket. All he has done for days is walk around throwing the balls one after another!

Tyler's walking!

Well, Tyler is walking, and within a week he is doing really well! He loves it and wants to be on his feet all the time. Grace likes to grab onto his hands and make him walk with her, she calls this dancing! Most of the time they fall down and laugh.

This is a great slide show of Tyler's birthday!

Tyler is 1!

Fun month of January and beginning of February.

A short visit with Nana and Papa. Short but wonderful!
Yeah, I don't know what Jeremy is doing in this picture.
This a great picture of both grandparents!

This is Tyler's birthday party fun! We can't believe that he is 1. Time really flies! He is almost walking, he actually should be, but he just doesn't want to. I'm not pushing it! I love this boy so much! We are so blessed to have him in our lives. Tyler is a joy to have in our family, although we are sad that his red hair is fading.

Winter Fun!

Well, life hasn't been easy since we got home. Grace seems to think that she doesn't need much sleep. She actually is acting like an adult. She wakes up multiple times during the night and wakes up for good between 4-5:30am every day. I'm not kidding. She really hasn't slept past 5:45 even once. She is ready to go, "Eat ceweal" is the first thing she says almost every day. I need my sleep, so many days are full of conflict.
It also seems that we can't be healthy for more than a couple days. Between the 4 of us there have been colds, throw-ups and Montezuma's revenge (if you know what I mean). Oh, well, this is the life of being a parent I suppose. I keep telling myself, this too shall pass.
Tyler's birthday is tomorrow, he'll be a year! Time flies and I need to start learning how to keep up.
Despite all the craziness we have managed to have some fun.

Snow can always put you in a good mood.

Having nice enough weather to go outside also puts smiles on our faces.
